Brake Noise

Noise from brake area when going over bumpy roads, but noise not there
when brake is lightly apppliied. Going in the shop Sunday but I always
like info before the duel.

Re: Brake Noise

I have the same noise.
Depending on the road surface it feels like anything from a single clunk to
a continuous one that sounds like a squash ball being shaken in a coffee
can. It seems like it happens when I resume foreward motion after braking,
like the pads have not retracted fully and the caliper is rattling on the
rotor. Does it sound like it is coming from the front end? Is your car
Manual or Automatic? Is it a 2003 Accent?
Please reply to group with the results of your Shop Visit.
Good Luck

Re: Brake Noise

Caliper service and had ceramic pads installed. Elantra 2000,auto,
83000k, rear pads replaced also. As was reported in auto mag Elantra's
air cooled brake system is not up to par with competitors.
