Broken Fog Light Lens
A rock hit the fog light lens on my 2002 Sonata GLS V6 and created a bullet
hole about the size of a US $0.10 coin. I had an auto glass outfit take a look at it and they said that because it's not laminate glass, they could not fix it. Is it possible to just replace that lens with a factory OEM part or do I have to replace the whole bottom skirt? My fear is that if enough water gets in there behind the lens, it's rust or and/or corrode other parts of the assembly. Any thoughts?? The cheap way out would be to get a lens repair kit at your auto parts store. Otherwise, you have to get a new lamp/lens assembly from Hyundai (the lens is not available as a separate part). It lists for about US$87. Bob |
