Buying 1999 Elantra, any advice please.

I have read on edmunds.com that the clutch on the 99 (and possibly
other years) releases very early. I am going to test drive a used 1999
tomorrow, and am wondering how high is too high for the clutch to
release and how will I know if it's worn or not. It only has 47000
miles.

I am wondering if there is anything else I should specifically look at
when looking the car over. Any problem areas on the 99's that I should
pay more attention to?

Thanks for your help. Please reply to newsgroup.
