Re: chirping sound
When does the noise happen -- idling, driving, shifting, pedal depressed,
pedal up? |
Re: chirping sound
it happens when the clutch is not engaged.
once i depress the the clutch, the birds come back. "hyundaitech" <notpublic@not.public.com> wrote in message news:621c147865c663ab3818fce60bec51f1@localhost.ta lkaboutautos.com... > When does the noise happen -- idling, driving, shifting, pedal depressed, > pedal up? > |
Re: chirping sound
I'd guess the throwout bearing is making the noise then.

The same type of noise was aparent on our '86 Dodge truck when it was a couple years old. Push clutch in, chirp, chirp, chirp. Let clutch out, sounds perfectly normal. The chirping seemed to vary when the clutch was in from almost unnoticable at times to really loud at other times. We did nothing about it and it went away a couple years later and never was a problem. |
