Comparison of interior sound level

I am in the market for a new car and crossposting this to the news groups of
the vehical I am checking out. I would like to know if anyone knows of a
review site that shows the interior sound level at highway speed.

Thanks

Re: Comparison of interior sound level

Dont know of a noise comparison study. But, I would put my 2002 SantaFe
SUV at a 7 out of possible 10 for sound annoyance ..especially from the
rear suspension. I intend to add insulation over the plastic wheelwell
liners , under the cargo carpetting, and under the SUV to muffle the
sound . While im at it, ill do under the cab carpetting too. Since
changing from the factory tires to other tires, the noise diminished
somewhat but still not enough for my liking.

I know that Consumers Reports measures sound level, and some of the auto
websites may also do it.

Car and Driver sometimes reports sound level at least at idle and
highway speeds.

Put on an after market free flowing exhaust and ENJOY the sound! :)

Re: Comparison of interior sound level

Right - you enjoy the sound and make all your neighbors listen to your
noise.
Get a bicycle and put some cards in the spokes - spare
everyone else.
