In Dash GPS for Sonata
I am wondering if anyone makes an integrated GPS solution with AM-FM-CD that
would fit into a 2004 Sonata radio slot? The space the radio and CD player occupy is quite large. It seems an after market system might fit. rg |

With the number of automakers now including or offering in-dash GPS
navigation, you would think there would be a fair demand for after-market installations and opportunity for companies to offer solutions. Re: In Dash GPS for Sonata
Thanks. Website not specific enough with dimensions for in-dash screen
unit, plus outrageously priced. $2,500 for in-dash navigation is a little pricey. I don't think Mercedes-Benz charges that much for their optional unit. It would be nice if after market retailers could tell you what cars the unit actually fits. You just need to know about the vehicle that you own. The Sonata has a Double-DIN stereo. That means that most units will only occupy half of the space. I have only ever seen one DD monitor but it doesn't have a Nav system. |

Sadly too many marques offer (if you're lucky) three different units... base, plus, and premium. And worse, try to buy a car without a stereo: "Can you delete it for credit?" ... No, and then they will even charge you to remove it and charge you for the blank filler. </soap-box mode> --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
