Elantra clutch - A different question - probably for Hyundaitech

The weak spot on the 2006 Elantra seems to be the clutch.

First - am I right thinking this or did the couple of us with a
problem post here?

Is the clutch in the 2006 the same one as in the 2003 that was rated
to tow 3500lbs?

If not is the older one a drop in that I could get when I have my
current clutch replaced?

Any other clutch thoughts?

Re: Elantra clutch - A different question - probably for Hyundaitech

Pressure plate is the same for 1996-2006.

Clutch disc is the same for 2001-2006.

Not sure about whether the 1996-2000 disc would work. The transmissions
are different, so it's possible the splines on the end of the input shaft
are different.

Thanks for the help. I wondered. Not too much in the aftermarket so
it looks like I will be staying with stock unless something really
better comes out of the woodwork. ;-)
