Elantra performance parts

This may sound very stupid and crazy, but I am looking for any performance
parts to go on a 1995 Elantra GLS. I am waiting to buy a new car next year
and just wanted to know if any of you know of anything out there for this
kind of Elantra.

Check out the Elantra GT Club website and ElantraXD.com for parts
sources and information on mods.

Re: Elantra performance parts

I believe the 2.0 Mitsubishi engine of similar design bolts up and that all
electronics are similar.

There's no need to do that, since virtually anything one could want is
available specifically for the Elantra/Tiburon engine.

Re: Elantra performance parts

I believe the Elantra/Tiburon engine is the 1.6/1.8/2.0 Hyundai engine used
since 1996. In 1995 and prior models, Hyundai used a Mitsubishi 1.6 (vin
R) or 1.8 (vin M) in their vehicles. There may be performance parts
designed for the Mitsubishi 2.0 (used in the Eclipse, Laser, and Talon),
but I don't specifically know how well they will work with the 1.6 or 1.8.
