The only problem we've had with it are the trim around the windows came loose, but Hyundai replaced it immediately. The only other problem with the Elantra that I find is in the winter the windows seem to fog up a lot more than other cars I've owned. ---------------------------------------------- Brian Howe ------------ Information is power. Re: ELANTRA - Questions !?
Since you talking about a 1.6 , I have to assume your talking about a
older one with that size engine . they are good cars , I have 2 of them right now along with my 01 GLS . On Sat, 6 Dec 2003 13:36:44 +0100, "Guru" <mario.matolic@vk.hinet.hr> wrote: >What do you generally think about Elantra 1,6? >What are the pros and cons for buying her? > >Thanks! > |

Girls arent interested in this one Luggage space - its not a big car, its not a wagon , its not even a proper hatchback. towing a trailer - its a small car, what do you expect. Paint quality - well they have lesser standards. I have bubbling paint on my left mirror, but Hyundai dont want to fix it, maybe i will argue about it later. Its obviously finger prints from the factory, and the bubbles are still there to be inspected - to me its not flaking because of damage! but to hyundai ' we dont cover damage caused by driving into trees or stone chips... ' Alloy wheels - they are plastic coated alloy. when the plastic is damaged, it makes a big dark spot due to corrosion , and dirt getting under the plastic. I guess you can paint the damaged section silver to hide it a bit. Trim - clips on, not removable without damage. Dashboard- plastic buttons liable to be flake their paint, perhaps nail polish remover, or white spirits (in the car paint polish and tar remover) weakens the paint, then it comes off on your fingers. CD/radio - a cheap model with difficulty in setting the channels, and insensitive buttons that might then break when hit too hard. |
