Front Brakes on a 2001 Elantra

Just put new pads and rotors on the car, now I have a bad pluse in the
brake pedal when applied lightly. Any ideas?

Check to make sure the rotors are on properly. I did the same thing and
the rotors did not go on squarely over the hub. I was surprised as well but
that's what the dealer told me and it was true.

Your two choices are pretty much faulty rotor or faulty rotor installation.

I called the part store where I purchaed the rotors, took them back,
had them turned and all is well. I was told their supplier received a
bad batch, and this must of been part of the batch. Since it's a
family run store, they took care of the problem for me. I've done
many brake jobs in my time, and did not know one could put a rotor on
wrong. Thanks for the tips!!

If there is any rust or dirt on the mating surfaces, there could be
considerable run-out.
So, maybe not put on wrong, just oversight.
