Hey Hyundaitech

Just had the work done on the '08 Elantra fuel pump recall and I have a
question. Is the fuel pump involved with this recall actually inside the
tank or is it externally mounted? If it's inside the tank, is it accessible
without dropping the fuel tank? The reason I'm asking is because the work
only took about 30 minutes. I was surprised to say the least.

Thanks,

Mike Edwards

Re: Hey Hyundaitech

Yep, it's in the tank. There's an access panel under the rear seat.

Re: Hey Hyundaitech

This is the same for the Sonata. My fuel gauge indication, which is part of
the pump setup, went out and was replaced under warrantee.
