the idea of the newsgroup is to have the amazing freedom--unedited--to express
ideas and feelings about phenomena which are meaningful to the n.g. perusesrs
and lurkers

so, when i read a negative (or positive) comment, i wanna know more
specifically what did (or did not) happen

the hyundai people are manufacturing-marketing, imho, an extraordinary
worthwhile machine

if their vehicle and/or service has been poor in an anonymous (or named)
poster's opinion, then why not allow details

there is always a chance that the next consumer will be treated better, just
because somebody offered a valid, sincere criticism and the hyundais responded
constructively

what has been the problem?

the $600 tune-ups (?)

a rattle that they couldn't unrattle (?)

the ... (?)

an s.o.b. dealer (?)

I've owned, Fords, Pontiacs, VW, Honda, Dodge. and on my 2nd Hyundai.. best
cars I have ever owned far better than the others I have owned and trouble
free, would buy another Hyundai in a minute and would reccomend them to
anyone... by far the best bang fer yer dollar.. Owned a 2000 Elantra Wagon
and now have a 2004 Elantra GT.. dang good cars...

My wife and I are enjoying our first Hyundai (2002 Sonata GLS V6) so much
that are trading it in on a 2004 XG350L in May. They have been very, very
good to us!

My first Elantra. 2002. Replaced tires twice, car still shakes, replaced tie
rod ends, replaced ball joints, replaced transmission, replaced all four
window tape(3x...still messed up), replaced drivers seat, replaced rotors.
Transmission is still reving between gears! I guess I got a bad one. Shame
though, they are beautiful cars. Maybe after I get rid of this, I might try
a corolla. By the way, we were not hard on this car, it just keeps showing
us new troubles every few months. Oh yeah, seems like the power windows are
having an awful time going down. They almost stop about half way.

2 1992 Elantra GLS - Still have both
1 94 Excel - Traded for
1 95 Scoupe - traded for
1 01 Elantra
1 97 Sonata - traded for
1 01 XG300 - Had to let go due to job loss

I had almost forgotten how bad Ford's are until one of my son's got a '90
Ranger back around Thanksgiving. Kid lost the key that fits the door locks.
We go to the local Ford dealer yesterday to get a new key cut. "Sorry - we
can't cut keys from the vin # on vehicles more than 5 years old". #*&% you,
