All engines used in Hyundai vehicles sold in the U.S. since 1995 are
interference engines. |

There is nothing wrong with interference engines. You just have to be diligent about changing the timing belt at the recommended intervals. IIRC, every car I've owned has had an interference engine and I've never had a related problem. |
