New Stereo - 05 Sonata

I have a 05 Sonata and would like to add a new radio that supports mp3
cds and preferably an aux-in. I -LOVE- the stock speakers and they
sound great.

I simply want a new headend that will have the above features, but
keep EVERYTHING else the same.

What do I have to look for? I don't want to bypass the amp (it has
one in the trunk, correct? or am I mistaken.) What kind of outputs do
I need to have? Obviously I'd get a wiring harness for an easier
install... I just don't want to have to bypass any of the factory
equipment.

Thanks

Re: New Stereo - 05 Sonata

Have you tried to record your own MP3's and try them ?? I have a 2005 XG350L
and record my own music CD's ( all with MP3's ) and they work fine, even in
the 8 CD changer in the trunk.

Re: New Stereo - 05 Sonata

I just tried that. Unfortunately, my Sonata is a bit lower-end than
your XG350L ;(

If my Sonata was an 06, then it'd come stock with the mp3 player.

On a side note, does anyone know if having radio-tuner buttons labeled
"
TUNE
DISC
"
means that this disc can have a CD changer hooked up? I see nothing
else about changers in any of my manuals.

Thanks

Re: New Stereo - 05 Sonata

<snipped earlier post>

Also, does anyone know what different brands of units Hyundai used as
the H260 on the 2005 Sonata? If it's a Kenwood, as I've heard some
people say, I'd just pick up the thing here:

Thanks
