QUESTION about 4WD on a Santa Fe
The manual says that the indicator light on the instrument panel is
supposed to come on when the car goes into 4WD. I've never seen this light. I've driven on wet, slippery, grassy hills and I never have any trouble but I've still never seen the light. I checked the manual and it says that the light is supposed to come on for a few seconds when the car is started. It does not. On page 2-12 of the manual they talk about "Full-Time 4WD Operation (if installed)". Is this what all the 4WD Santa Fe's have or is this an option only on some of the 4WD models. It sounds like some may have a manual switch to put it in 4WD and some don't. Is this correct? |

Re: QUESTION about 4WD on a Santa Fe
There is only one type of 4WD setup on the Santa Fe for now.

Re: QUESTION about 4WD on a Santa Fe
If the light doesn't go on briefly when you start, the bulb or something
must be faulty. It sounds as though your 4WD is working but your indicator is not. This should be a simple fix for your dealer. jor "chasrein" <yeah@right.com> wrote in message news:onebjvonhhgu906k2vajha5pavipsn1tf3@4ax.com... > The manual says that the indicator light on the instrument panel is > supposed to come on when the car goes into 4WD. Re: QUESTION about 4WD on a Santa Fe
Canadian 2002.5 V6 AWD - no indication light - it is an AWD not 4WD. The
only light would be for TCS - Traction Control System.
