question for hyundaitech: question about hood release handle

my car is 2005 elantra. The hood release handle, which is located
underneath and to the left of the steering wheel, broke. i can still
open the hood by pulling on the release cable (number 14 in the
diagram).
this link shows the diagram of what i'm talking about:

number 16 is broken.

do you know if i bring the problem to the dealer, that it's covered
under warranty?

Re: question for hyundaitech: question about hood release handle

Whether it's covered by your warranty will depend on why it broke. If it
broke during normal usage, it should be covered under the 5 year/60,000
mile warranty.
