I figured I would draw some anti-Armor All responses with my message.
I'm neither pro or against the product, but people do seem to lash out
against it. I don't have a long history with it, but I'm always
amazed by the bad rap it gets. Sounds like most of you just use
something simple for the dash/doors. I guess just getting a good
protectant for the flat part of the seats will do the trick.

I'm curious, why is the Armor All tire stuff so bad??

**I'm not lashing out nor am I anti, I used to use the stuff. I had
several people who I trust in car care tell me to not use it. Armor
All supposedly contains stuff that makes plastic/tires age
prematurely. I have no idea if it really does, however. I just use a
simple detergent/damp rag to clean the interior and it's fine.

**While perusing some other auto NGs, they said it's the silicone in
certain cleaners that cause problems.

That's interesting. I was doing some additional research too and
found that one of other "claims" against Armor All is that they use
water in their leather conditioner which leads to bad problems.
What's interesting is that they don't list the ingredients on the
bottle so how do you really know??

**LOL! Before I posted, I went out to the garage where I have some
Armor products that I've never used on my cars. I thought: Hmmm, no
ingredient lists.
