Rearview mirror adhesive

My rearview mirror came off. My Elantra has an extra heavy one piece
rearview mirror. I will need some stronger glue than what I have been
trying. That two stage rearview mirror glue is a joke.

Any suggestions, please?

I don't want to insult your glueing ability but did you scrape all of
the old hard glue off of the tab and then clean it and the surrounding
windshield area with the cleaner provided? My van has a large heavy
mirror which includes electronics for auto dimming and it has stayed on
with the regular one step RVM adhesive products. Other then the above
steps, I do not know of anything else better.

The Elantra mirror doesn't have a tab. It's a one piece assembly, AFAIK.
Yes, I cleaned the window and the metal plate of the mirror assembly.

I will look for RVM adhesive products, though. Thank you.

Re: Rearview mirror adhesive

3.00 tube at your local hardware store. This is what I did. The mirror never
felll off again. I sold the car after 5 years. Silicone makes a perfect bond
between glass and metal.
