Report-visited local Svc Dept for Customer Feedback
I finally made it to my local Hyundai Service Dept to talk to customers
who might be waiting to ask for their opinions on this particular dealership. No customers were waiting. Rather than having wasted some time, I asked a Svc Dept Mgr if they had consumer survey reports I could look at, they did, most people seemed satisfied; the one's who weren't complained about waiting 30 minutes for their car to be checked when they had an appointment time established, another one expected show room detailing that they didn't get. Unless survey's were pulled that may have been of a more serious nature, it seems ok. What do you think? Most of the surveys mentioned a high degree of satisfaction of working with the Service Manager, whom they named. The woman who was showing me the surveys offered to introduce me to him. Very nice, asked why I was considering a Hyundai, I told him. This dealer sells several car makes, Mitsubishi is one of them and with whom the service dept is shared with Hyundai. He liked the newly designed Galant better than any of the Hyundai's, so this woman who was still sticking with me took me to their showroom and showed it to me. Looked like an Accord from the outside, ok on the inside, but to get comparable features to XG would have run about $25,000. She was seemingly very upfront with me and said that she thought I would be very happy with XG or Sonata, but that Accent is the car where they've had a lot of problems (transmission), that they haven't seen many XG's or Sonata's with problems. She said when I'm ready, that I should give her a call, and she would take me to the Hyundai Sales Manager to help with purchasing my car (like there would be a benefit to that). Would there be? And while I'm thinking about it, there seems to be an advantage buying a car from a fleet manager, but is there some criteria for being able to do so, such as belonging to a credit union? -- Do not email if posting response.
