Santa Fe 2004 Automatic climate control woes
I had several cars with automatic climate control. None that ran like this.
After almost a year, I deem the logic in the SF ..... un-logical! On hot days, the temp sensor detects the extra need to crank up the fan...... but it does not step back down on its own at a reasonable threshold. I always have to go manual and turn it down, even after the car has reasonably cooled down. My passengers are always complaining..... ( I normally like the fan to move the air, but not like this) Fall mild weather, It can't make up its mind to put the heat down on the floor and stays on the upper/face vents most of the time. Again, you have to override it or close the vents on top. I might of well had a manual air conditioning system. Thumbs down to the engineering team on this one. |

Snicker. I, too, have had cars with auto-climate. A very nice touch. That has been the only real thing I missed when I bought my '01 Santa Fe which has manual. After your story, I guess I'm thankful for what I have. ;) |
