I was looking at a 2004 Sante Fai. I like the look of it. Is the 2004 the
same as the 2003's and farther back? I am not to familiar that is why I ask.

Appearances are the same. The 2004 also has 3 available engines, the 2.4
4cyl, the 2.7v6 and the 3.5v6. The 3.5 wasn't made available until late
2003.

The diferences are very minor other than the new 3.5L engine that is
optional. The only outside difference is that the late 04's have tiny
antenna located on the center rear of the roof. Previous versions
have the antenna embeded into the left rear window. Some people say
the reception is poor with the window antenna but I haven't noticed.

The window antenna provides the worst reception (gain) I reported this when
I got mine in Dec 2003.....guess I was one of the inovators to get the
engineers to fix it right.
