Where is the DRL-relay located (sonata 94)

Hi, suddenly I have no more automatic headlights turned on when the car
is running, I have to turn them on manually. I believe this can be
caused by a deffect relay. Any other suggestions?

Where can this relay be found? (exactly please)

Thank you!

Regards,
Øystein

Re: Where is the DRL-relay located (sonata 94)

I also found this from Hyundai website (I am NO mechanic..):

HEADLIGHTS OPERATE NORMALLY, BUT DRL SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE (LIGHTS
NEVER TURN "ON")
Blown fuse
Open circuit in wiring harness
Defective generator
Short to ground in brake warning indicator circuit
Defective park brake switch
Defective brake fluid level switch
Defective DRL unit
..-....

I have checked the fuses, all seem ok.
Open circuit in wiring = I dont know what it is
Defective generator = what is this? the lights work normally if I
manually turn them on..
Short to ground in brake warning indicator circuit = dont know, but all
other lights work..
Defective park brake switch = dont know?
defective brake fluid level switch = dont know?
Defective DRL unit = most probably, where do I find this one??

....

Thanks,
Øystein

Re: Where is the DRL-relay located (sonata 94)

According to my schematic for the 1993 Sonata (I couldn't find one online,
and I don't have a 1994 manual handy), the DRL module is beside the
battery. It's not clear from the drawing whether it's inside the right
fender or between the battery and fender.
