whinning Transmission

Hi. I have a 2002 Elantra. The dealer replaced the transmission due to the
2-3 upshift problem.Anyway, when it gets could here, around 0-C, the
transmission whines on a cold start. warms up and goes away in about 3-4
minutes. Fluid is up. Any ideas?? Sounds like its coming from the top of the
transmission and does it only when you shift into any gear.

Is the fluid full? Is it nice and red?

If it's actually coming from the transmission, then it doesn't sound very
good. I think I'd take it in and leave it overnight so the dealer can
check it cold.

OK. That's what I will do. Just wondering if this was a common problem that
people may have come across.
