whinning Transmission
Hi. I have a 2002 Elantra. The dealer replaced the transmission due to the
2-3 upshift problem.Anyway, when it gets could here, around 0-C, the transmission whines on a cold start. warms up and goes away in about 3-4 minutes. Fluid is up. Any ideas?? Sounds like its coming from the top of the transmission and does it only when you shift into any gear. Terry |
Re: whinning Transmission
Is the fluid full? Is it nice and red?

Re: whinning Transmission
If it's actually coming from the transmission, then it doesn't sound very
good. I think I'd take it in and leave it overnight so the dealer can check it cold. |
Re: whinning Transmission
OK. That's what I will do. Just wondering if this was a common problem that
people may have come across.
