3.4L vs 3.8L Battle

Well today on my way home from school I was in the highway and doing about 65 and I pass this really nice red 96' Camaro RS (BTW I didn’t even think about racing him) Anyways as soon as he saw me next to him he step on the gas and by the time I step on it he was already 2 cars ahead well I follow him from behind because only the fast lane was free but I was catching slowly to him but I didn’t have chance to change lane. And finally the road was all free so I move to the outside lane and him on the inside one and the middle was free too and we where doing about 90 at that point and about 110 I got a about 1 1/2 cars ahead of him but I had to stop because there were cars ahead. Anyways I pass him and that what counts

well if you raced on about a 20 foot track you'd win. in my old, old 3.4, the green one, i raced my friends 3.8. since 3.4s have 3.23 gears as opposed to the 3.8's 3.08s (unless its a Y87) the 3.4 will get it off the line.

Oh I didn’t know they were different and yep I have notice that when I race 3.8L I always beat them in the start but they catch up to me at about 1/8 of mile.
I don’t think I will beat a 3.8L in 1/4 Mile but I haven’t been at the track in so long so I don’t know what my car is running now. (D*** I remember does days at the track that was Fun!)
But in this case i beat him when we were already at high speed.

makes sense, a manual is not faster than an auto (usually is slower since it slows when you shift an auto can accelerate sooner since it shifts many times faster than any human can)

my 3.4 was slow. My brother had a 3.8 and i had put some things into it hopng for a gain on him but every time i would race my brother he would kick my *** and his car just had a exhaust and intake.
