Civic bites the dust.

Some of you may remember my last kill (sorta a kill) where a jack--- in a beat up corolla kept slowing down in front of me on the highway, trying to force me to race him.

Well, no sooner am I in Phoenix that some idiot in a riced out civic does the same thing. This time though I'm getting off the highway to head to a friends house. But this #@$ follows me off the highway! He pulls up next to me at the light, revs the engine, and then takes off on the green light. I accelerate normally, (which is funny since he didn't pull away that fast) and pull up next to him at the next light. I look over and the idiot is laughing and shouting about how he tore me up.

:banghead: He Thought I was racing him! :lolsign:

SOoo I hate street racing fyi, but now I'm both bemused and pissed off. The road in front of us is flanked by empty farm land, and not a single light for 2 miles. So I figure what the hey?. I rev the engine signaling my intent. I nail a good launch on the green and keep the RPMs pegged at 5k all the way till 4th, I think I was nearing 100 (I didn't want to take my eyes off the road). I glance in the rear view mirror and find em several car lengths behind and falling further back. So I cut the power knowing I just blew his doors off, he pull up next to me and shouts "f**ing V8s!".. :lolsign:

Gawd, this guy was such an idiot it just made it worth while. I'm a stock 3.8 with only the free ram air mod, and a K&N. It ain't fast... But I'm constantly running into crap like this on the roads in Phoenix.

I need a Turbo just so they hear it spool up and leave me alone.

As a side note, I do love comming down into the valley (1,200foot elev). The car feels so much stronger. I live in Flagstaff at (7,000foot elev) and it takes a good 40hp from the car.
