Nope, dsm's are not light at all. but my point is weight of a car and the power it produces all work together in a power to weight ratio formula. a 4000lb mustang with 600hp agaist a 2000lb civic with 300hp, (just an example no need to blaber about it) the civic wont exactly smoke the mustang,or will the mustang smoke the civic. people dont take this kind of stuff into consideration. the size of a cars engine really dosent mean much. and lets not be geating into gear ratio, i dont think some people can handle that here.

Yes Hickfarmer, power to weight ratio is very important in racing, as are suspension, traction, gearing, lots of variables. Its all good.

We are all car enthusiasts here, and everyone loves their baby. I personally love rear wheel drive cars, they to me are just so much more fun. But to each his own.

I don't even remeber what the original point was anymore!

I agree with you, the AWDs are not light cars. Stock they weigh in at just over 3100lbs. Mine is closer to 3000lbs with me in it. I've pulled a new Z06(505hp version) on the highway before from a roll. He had intake, headers, and exaust with 3"cats. He had ran an 11.8 before the headers. He was really impressed and did not expect it at all. Same result 5 times in a row. He would pull a car on me instantly in 3rd while I was spooling, and then I'd reel him in and pass him before the top of 4th. Now if he can't catch me from a roll, he would've got raped out the hole . One thing I did realize running him is that I definatly need better brakes. He could stop WAYYY harder then me. I love those vettes, mean as hell.

I still wanna trade my C6 in for a new ZO6, or better yet the upcoming Blue Devil... sometime in the future tho... A twin turbo ZO6, like sex on wheels!!!

I wouldn't go as far as saying I smoked him, but I was a touch faster uptop. Thanks, I have all the respect in the world for those cars, and would trade my POS in a heartbeat for one. And your definatly right tho, a TT Z06 IS sex on wheels.

Im pretty sure that a civic would not touch a mustang cobra at all it mite keep up for the first 10 feet then get killed...I ride in a 2003 mach 1 everday to work and that car can cut the wheels loose in all 5 gears when he puts it to the floor...
