Some Older guy Thinks hes tough...
I dunno, It all started i was on a old back road that got onto a main road, here in maine, Speed limit is 55mph, well i pulled on to it and there was no traffic, and i was going 55 of course, and all i see is this blur go past me and in front of me, and then the guy decided to slow down to 40mph, and i am getting frustrated at this point, well i started to look in his side mirrors and i see him looking and laughing in his mirror. Well, with my 350, 700R4 OD automatic, and a Mile stretch coming up, well i decided to back off a bit and then i Cleaned out the carbon If you know what i mean, well i passed him and the needle on the 145mph speedo was well, I am not at liberty to say, but when i pass this older gentle man i looked over and he gave me a look that i will never forget and i let off the gas and what not and just coasted, And then about 2 minutes later i look in the rear view and this older guy is on my @$$, and there was a car coming up in front of me, well i didnt even use the gas to pass due to the speed i was already going, and the older guy passed as well and on my @$$ again, So I turned off onto a diffrent route hoping he wouldnt follow me. and he didnt.
And after gonig at such a speed 55mph feels like i was crawling. And my gas gauge did not move.. But I do know My car is fast, and comfortable and anyone who wants to bring it on, meet me at the track please, not the State Owned Roads. I dont ever want to do that again.. but theres my kill i guess you could call it... |
did u swap the 350 into your car?

I did Not, the previous owner put it in and i bought it at 15,000 Miles $2500 in may 2005 it has more miles now of course..

yea but the stock 305 TBIs were 170 horse, so the TBI cant be that great on a 350 anyways. either way a 6 speed would be cool.

well since this thread is back anyway... theres noooooo way you could go that fast with a 700 r4. i dont care what engine you have. thats not possible unless you have like 2.23 gears if those are real. lol. ok maybe it is possible but i highly doubt it.
