The 1995 Z24 is 2788lbs, with 2.3l Dohc 150 HP, 145ft,lbs of torque (1996 was 2.4L making 5 more lbs of torque which wouldn't make any difference) so I'm not wrong, your just to quik to bash on Honda's when I was just lookin for opinions dick!!!

trying to be nice, but no he did not do any "ghey" convertions on his car, its pretty mint, and I did alot of the work on it with him and its a Civic body with Integra hardware, if you read the thread before this one about who will win he spells it out clearly what has been done.

i know, you must be one of those "im always right" people and no one can disagree.

I can take opinions and I just did, your opinion, but I was just telling you that you were wrong about the numbers, but you already knew that, than if you knew, why did you say the Z24 weighed less? to give it the advantage but really that was the weight of the shittier cav. so back to the original question that had specs posted correctly, any other opinions, and yes I know yours "StealthZ"

Do you guys realize your only quoting peak power. That really doesn't mean jack when the power to weight ratio is so close.
i dont really give a domestic or import, but rest assured a zz4 cavalier would absolutely destroy a civic si.
Speaking from experience: I had an 02 Protege 5 manual. dropped clutch power shift.. the whole deal. Couldn't get in front of my friend driving a '00 Z24 automatic.

Honda tech is a tool. Argueing quotes from motor trend is like running in the special olympics even if you win your still retarded. GM builds engines that last just as long as honda motors if not longer. So you need to haul *** back to washing cars at classic honda (no such thing btw).
BTW The term Z is a chevrolet signature dateing back to the 60s nissan dont own .
Z28 biatch
The cavalier will waste the SI.. stop denying the abvious.

My friend drives a cavalier. It's always broken. He replaced the headgaskets 3 times. None of my friends with imports have problems like this, so out of pure personal experience, my judgement on reliability is heavily biased towards imports.
As for performance, well, I like to think there is more to it then two numbers. A GREAT car to me is one that is fast, but nimble. If all you care about is acceleration, then by all means, go drag race. But thats for pussies who cant drive.
So let's see, for about $15,000, including the cost of the car, I can make a civic hatch reach 350hp no problem. Plus it's light, and with a nice suspension setup it will take most cars. Oh and amazingly the reliability will still be there. Sounds like a great deal for a good track car.
That's why I choose imports over domestics.
