not sure if this is a 'scrambler' or not id have to look but generally newer models have whats a called a 'misfire' feature which means it doesnt affect the cops laser or radio like a scrambler would but it makes them think they missed and hit a window....so far saved my buddy a whole lot of speeding tickets this summer...be smart with them for sure

aren't these thing illegal? i heard cops can detect them and give you a big ticket for them.

You get a ticket and it will be confiscated IF they find it.

Get searched Much??

I've been using radar detectors for awhile, back in the day like 9-10 years ago they didn't have as many bells and whistles as they do now...Most newer ones including these have a detection range that's at least km more then the radar gun's detection range, so you catch them before they catch you, and to be safe I usually just unplug it till I pass the cop, just to be on the safe side. I had one confiscated before but that was because they did a search on my car for an unrelated issue and happened to come across the detector in my glove box.......other then that I had no problems at all and have been saved a few times from tickets. :veryhappy
