is a 750cc too much for a beginner bike?
i'm thinking about getting a bike since i'm too broke for the car i want. while i save for that, i'm looking at old nighthawk 750's. the 650/750's are quite common for some reason and i'm wondering whether i'm gonna die have it for my first bike. i learned from my G2 not to drive like a dick on the road, and i don't plan to, especially on a bike. is it still too high?

from what ive heard 650cc< is better, well atleast for insurance reasons.
If you can afford insurance on the 750 then go for it. Just dont ride like a retard:loser: |
yea for beginner i 'd say 650 is resonable

If you were about to say you were going to get a GSXR750, then definitely that will be TOO MUCH BIKE FOR YOU!!!!! If you're starting out on a SS (supersport) sports bike, the turn of the throttle is very twitchy. That's why you see so many beginners wiping out. They're just not use to the power underneath them. :nono:
But since you're choosing the Nighthawk 650/750, (which is considered to be a sport touring/cruiser), I think you should be alright. These types of bikes are more forgiving and more beginner friendly. Not to mention the cheaper insurance as well. Get some experience with the bike and upgrade to a Supersport in the near future. If you respect the machine it will respect you! Good luck, see you on the roads, and RIDE SAFE! :smilie_da |
