Oh yeah, I've been riding when it was in the 20's. You have to protect your exposed skin. Other wise you can easily get frost bite. The worst of it is my hands, they get cold quick and my fingers hurt for hours until they defrost. I don't have any special outerwear, and I should if I was to continue to ride in such extremes.......

Bailey,I don't have a Harley bike to ridebut I have an 18 speed bikeand have rode the bike when it was cold in the morning. It was a reminder for me to wear gloveswhen I got home it was tea time. It was spring out at the time but the cold felt like winter and frostbite.

so your friend has a Harley.....is he a middle aged accountant who had a mid-life crisis? i think harley lost its "coolness" factor when they sold out and the only people who can afford them are attourneys and CPAs and other white collar paychecks. i remember when the only people who rode harleys were the peoplewho knew how to fix them.its kind of sad really....an american icon has become such a cliche`....

^thats bull,
Alot of lawyers and doctors do ride harleys...
but most deckers are sold to steel workers, construction workers ect...or anyone who would rather spend 30 grand on a new bike and drive a crap car then spend 30 grand on a new car n drive a crap bike...

And to answer the question i went down to friday 13th in december years back ...rode there on my 98 gsxr 750...and rode back on my dads 03 classic...

the harley was aloooooot more comfortable LOL
