Have a couple questions!

Im new to the sport bike scene,

im looking for a used bike, Im a big guy, 5.10" 250lbs.
I was wondering if a 600cc bike is strong enough to drive me around.
And what if i had my girl on the back... is that overkill for a 600???

Also
how long will a bike last km wise?
i see a few bikes in the auto trader with 25,000km's
does the bike still have anything left?
(talking about HONDA, SUZUKI, and YAMAHA sport bikes)

thanks

checkout gta motorcycle.com as they have a number of good 600cc sport bikes for sale. A 600cc would still give you a good amount of power even for a bigger fellow like yourself. Also you will notce in the bike world it is different then the car world by far. Usually guys will get picky about bikes around the 25,000km area. These bikes are high compression engines that need to be maintained and never skimped on. Major things to look for are tire condition, brakes, engine noises as certain models have tensioner issues that can be fixed, sproket condition(no chain gowdge, no tooth damge), chain maintence(lubed, not rusted, not kinked). Some poeple are about kms while if the bike is maintained properly they can last a long time. expected life span should be about 60-80 in my opnion. Also don;t be disturbed, because if you have a common bike you can find a used engine very easily if it comes down to it. Anyways most poeple use bikes for joy riding so thats why the kms are considered higher at around the 25,000+ mark. I would look for a bike in the 10,000-20,000 km range for your first bike and look over the general iteams before buying.
Have fun with your first bike!
