Motor Scooters: how can i convince my parents?

My friend offered to sell me a razor moter scooter for 20 dollars and its at my house right now. How can i convince my parents, but mostly my mom, she thinks there not safe but im 12 years old and drive it exceptionally. Is there some online motor scooter safety test I can take?My friend is selling it for 20 dollars because she is not good with money and only needs 20 dollars. I would only ride it in my subdivision and there are no known sexual criminals anywhere nearby bc my mom checked online. It is very safe and i would ONLY ride it in the neighborhood, you have a great point though.

tell her they are just liek a bike and easy to get off of it and on .come on ur 12 need to have fun enjoy it i hope ur parent understand but just be carefull when u cross the street with it and always don't race ur way to get thru, it have no protection iff u get hit wear a helmet too and make sure ur break work well before u ride it . and make sure safety switch work too and always make sure u know ur way out if it won't shut off . good luck enjoy the fun ...

I don't think an on-line test will do anything. Ask your mom to follow you on a test drive, and then follow all the rules. As a mom myself, I'm not sure I would let you, though. First, it's not YOUR driving, but those idiots out on the road who don't look for motor scooters, and drive like idiots. You know, drunk drivers and the kind of person who drives 55 mph in a school zone. Also, it'd be easy for a pervert to "bump" your motor scooter and kidnap you. This is just a mom's wild imagination, I know, but my daughter is 11. I would let her ride a motor scooter around the farm, but never to school or town. One more thing: why is your friend selling it for 20 bucks? Is she not bright with money, or is something wrong with the thing? Buyer beware.MAYBE, if you set certain rules and boundaries, and keep your promises, you can convince your parents that its OK.Good luck. I hope you live in a nice neighborhood, and can work this out.
