here is the break down of fees

M1 Test $17.50
Read the book, study the signs, you will have to do the car multiple choice, plus the motorcycle multiple choice, and the road signs. so that is three different tests, and will have to pass all to get your M1.

the M1 license expiries in 90 days, and you need to have it for a min. of 60 days, this is a perfect time to sign up for the M1 Exit course. if you are a beginner, been off the bike for a while. they teach you a lot of good habits, and accident avoidance etc....

M1 Exit Course, cost at Humber college was $425 tax included
the course runs on three days, thursday evening for three hourse (in-class) and sat-sun from 8:30-5:30 (on bike) when i attended there was about 90 people and over 100 bikes mostly Yamaha Virago 250 cc, and a few yamaha TTR dirt bikes, and there was TONS of instructors, we were split into groups of about 10 and each group had about 3 instructors.

There was a few people there who never touched a bike in their life, and some girls were even SCARED off the bikes, by the end of the first half of the day, they were riding with no problems :) and by the end fo the second day were riding very smooth with a lot of confident which was amazing.

the instructors are very good, and very helpful, i am glad i took that course, especially because of the accident avoidance part, hopefully i won't have to use it, but being on a bike you know you are going to be invisible to other people so it will come in handy :)

at the end of the sunday you will do your test, you will be tested on 8 things, including turning, swerving, emergency stops, acceleration, etc... one of the test is a 4 in 1, and then u will do 4 other tests for a total of 8, if you manage to score more than 11 points u fail, but out of the 90 people that were there i say only 15 failed, and they get to go back the next weekend for a retest ($75) which includes a two hour refresher.

as for the riding gear required for the course, you will need
- Jacket (Denim, or leather jacket will do)
- Pants (Denim, or leather, or motorcycle pants)
- Gloves, that cover the hand well.
- Boots, steel toe boots, or anything that covers the ankles, try to avoid boots with big heels, make it harder to shift gears)
- Helmet, any DOT approved helmet, you can rent them from PARKER BROTHERS, for about $30 for the period of the course.

they just don't want any exposed skin, incase you fall of the bike.

oh yeah, the course would you save you on your bike insurance, plus if you join a motorcycle club, some insurance companies will give you a discount as well.
