top rated speed or after mods?

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products...ha_yzf-r1.aspx
that is stock.

Try R1-forum.com . If you are a new at bikes I suggest looking at smaller cc bikes I personally ride an 00R6 Track and 03 R6 street and have had an 00 R1 and 01 R6 in the past. If you are looking for you might as well go all out and get a hayabusa.

If you are looking for motorcycle for speed then ... your what m/c people call squids = ricer in motorcycle lingo and are probably gonna get in an accident, injure yourself or worse.

At any rate, good luck on trying to get one either to ride or better yet insure.
