Is the Tank Touring 150cc deluxe for me?

Im getting my first scooter. im 14 and am going to take the moped license course soon which is very easy. my dad has a burgman 400 which i have practiced on. im a fairly big broad shouldered guy but the problem i have with the burgman is its size its big? and if i lose it its on the floor. The tank touring deluxe 150 looks great and i dont have to pay a dime for it. im thinking the burman was a problem due to the fact that it was my first time ever on a bike. So enough with details and down to the question. I have a great deal on the tank, my license is practicly on my lap, and all i want to know is- is the tank a good bike for me to start with. thanks, Bartm41

Bart,I too had a Burgman , but a 650 and sold it due to it being too big. I now have the Tank 250 cc and love it. I took the safety course and dropped the bike so didn't finish (broken my leg and ankle). The tank is a good beginners bike as far as I'm concerned due to it's size and cost. I bought another 650 just today and am going to trike it! I started riding a Cushman 5 hp when I was 14, back in the dark ages and it's max speed was 35 MPH. The tank will get you where you're going and at a safe enough speed. The 250 will top out at a little over 80--much too fast for a beginning rider. Good luck with your riding, stay safe and don't drop the Burgie. All that "tupperware" cracks and breaks and it isn't cheap to replace.
