...? I am writing a poem about motorcycles. The poem is finished but i am not very poetic so if anyone can suggest a few things, it would really help make this poem better.-What sound does a motorcycle make(ex vroom vroom for a car)-How would you describe a motorcycle in motion?-Whats the smell of a motorcycle you just turned on?Thanks, i already have about 40 lines and any constructive criticism will help.

Harley-Davidsons speak in gutteral, yet thunderous retort, crackling at times and in sync with a heart beat--only louder.Astride a Harley is like nothing else; the rumble, the roar of the straight pipes, and low-slung feel in the seat. The rider is in control of the elements regardless their severity because the ride is all that matters. It's not the destination, but the trip getting there. The smell of a hog is mixed with slight gasoline fumes, waves of heat coming up from the engine, and the rush of wind all about.

I owned a 400 Yamaha Enduro and it was so great and fun. It's got a great history behind it too. The sound was like a deep...burrrrrooomboomboomboom with a deepening in the 'r' sound. And then it would die down at the end. It was like flying in the wind and feeling it's force on your face and body. I will never forget the feeling being airborne and nothing under me or around me in a jump I did. I know how a bird feels, even for a few seconds. God, I miss it...the feeling of complete freedom.

TweekrZach,
Your rendition of motorcycle sounds is the best! I am a writer and was looking to assist a fellow writer on the sounds of bikes... you had me at potato! That is exactly the sound I was looking for. Thank you for this! Best, Tina
