Adding gay Japanese names doesn't id a car. A 240Z was a basic (tho well equipped for the time) 6 cyl 2 seat sporty car. Morphed into the 260 then 280 then they added more chairs, extra letters, make me comfy options, yada, yada.

To further the point, here's my old beast. Rattly, loud, but more fun than any new car.
To us: Datsun 2000 Roadster
Japan: SRL311 FAIRLADY

I know silvia and 240sx are synonomous.

240z is not a 240sx, or a silvia.

And a guy that comes into the shop has one of them Datsun 2000s, its fun as to drive.
