is it better to buy a honda oydessy older more miles than newer chevy astro less

miles? when ever ive had chevy astro, dodge caravan, fordwindstar, it seems i have to put alot of $ in repairs after 100,000 miles. I had a Honda Odessy i loved but crashed in rain totaled. Im told the honda can go up to 200,000 or even 300,000's before having to put alot of $ on repairs. does any one think this is true. Im starting to belive it?
