How good is a New Honda Odyssey?

we are thinking about having a 4th baby. Which requires us getting a new car. We really like the Honda Odyssey, can anyone give me any reviews on it.

Hi! I have 4 kids and had to switch from my Dodge Durango to a Honda Odyssey. I love it! I have all of my kids in car seats and it's so easy to get them in and out of the car. The doors open with the push of a button either on your keyring, or on the dash if you are inside the car.The older kids can hop out and there is plenty of room in the back for a stroller, but not much else. I end up putting stuff behind the driver & passenger seat on the floor. It's been the best kid car we've had. I used to have to heave-ho and practically break my back to get the carrier into the car...the van seat is at waist level so you just plop the baby on the seat in the base and go!We only have room for one more kid (without a car seat) in the middle of the back row seat...it's not very good if you want to bring other people along with you...that's the only problem.I'm also going to get the dvd players for the 2 rows for longer trips...need all the distractions we can get.Hope this helps! Good luck!

Looks like you have a choice between a 2007 Oddy on clearance, or waiting for the 2008s to arrive. I don't think there was a remodel on the 2008, so it's going to be the same more or less like the 2007.The Oddy is your basic passenger hauling workhorse. You can upgrade all the way up to the touring model w/ the DVD entertainment and GPS nav and leather seats. I own a 1999 Oddy, an ancestor of the 2008, marking the major remodel as we know it. It's got almost 220,000 miles on it and still rolling. Only major repair is the infamous transmission, which went out in 2003 around 93,000. It appears Honda has finally figured out the problem and more recent vintages have not had the tranny problem. The Oddy reminds of my old Civc hatchback on steroids. Despite the wide and long wheelbase, the setup helps make it hug the road more like a sedan than a lunking minivan.Obviously the competition (Toyota, Nissan, Chevy, Dodge) has caught up to the Oddy in different ways. However, you know what you're getting w/ the Oddy: Honda reliability.
