i cleaned the carb and its fine, the bike will also only start if it is kicked just right, if it doesnt start on the first kick it floods.

Find out why it is getting more fuel than air, what is blocking the air or choking off the air supply such that too much fuel gets in.....Check to make certain that the mixture setting (Air bleed screw?) if any is set correctly

Probably the carburator needs to be cleaned. Had it set for a while without being ran? If so that will cause the carb to gunk up.
