My maint. light came on at 34,000 on my crv. How do I reset it.?

Note: just checked all fluids and got oil change. I don't have a maint. manual.

You need to do more than what you have done so far. To get the light to go off you will have to clear the code that is causing the light to be on. If the problem has been fixed--and it probably hasn't, then you might be able to disconnect the battery and reconnect it after about an hour. There could be any number of things wrong, like a problematic oxygen sensor or something, and it will have to be repaired to get the light to go off. You need to take it to a shop, or an AutoZone could probably even do this, and have them hook up the machine to see what code is showing. Once you know what code is showing, then you will know where the problem is.

I don't know how the newer hondas are.. but in my 99 civic there is this notch next to the speedometer in which you just stick your key in. If there is one there, you have to stick the master key in it.

Don't just reset it. First find out what the code is. Go to Autozone and they will check the code for you for free.
