What does AWD mean for 2007 Honda Pilot ?
 

I got 2007 Honda Pilot. It says AWD instead of 4WD. Does anyone know what the difference between AWD and 4WD? Thanks.

Same Difference. Manufacturers Preference.

AWD means All Wheel Drive, which usually means that all the wheels are always driven by the drivetrain. Most four wheel drives that I know of, at least the newer models, have thw ability to turn off the 4WD when you dont need it. The AWD is always on just like the old 4WD. Basically the same thing, but I think 4WD sounds better.

AWD means All Wheel Drive, just means that you are always in 4 wheel drive.















4WD is just 4 wheel drive, but you have the choice to be in 4 wheel high or 4 wheel low or just 2 wheel drive.
