loose trunk lid

what has to be tightened to get my trunk lid to close tighter?

it is a 91 sunbird

Not sure bout a sunbird..

but there should be 2 ( maybe 3 ) bolts that whole the latch..

Simply loosen it and push it upward a lil more..retighten.. test.. when it's perfect.. tighten it down good

If your latch is @ the bottom instead of on the lid.. well.. you may have to take the panel off if it's in the way

Have you deadened the underside of the trunk? Throwing a couple of layers of Dynamat (or whaterver) might help. Not just to deaden the trunk but also to add some thickness to the seal.

nothing matted yet.

I don't think any amount of mat will fix it, I need to get it tightened at the window,but on 1 note It was suggested to use concrete
