Nice car, I heard they are pretty affordable too. Starting at around $26,000 .

Saw one in Markham a couple weeks ago (around Brimley & Steeles). The car looks like a million bucks and if the build quality is as good as it looks this should help Pontiac.

I want one but I'd rather save up for the new Z06.

Personally, I think it's cheap quality and slow.

Not bad looking but by no means a quality vehicle.
You get what you pay for.

Yup, Im sure the good old Ecotec will pump out some mad fast 1/4 mile times. :knock_tee They should of had the supercharged option like the cobalt

6Msentra 10-05-2005 10:01 AM

think there is a supercharged or turbocharged version in the works.
its twin the saturn sky is far better looking in my opinion, and the sky redline should be quite a nice car.
the sky is basically the vauxhall vx lightning concept.

Hey guys,

Big Willy's comment is pretty retarded. When I was with my car club I was invited to go to the GM Powertrain factory in St. Catherines (Thats where they make their SICK V8's) LS2, LS6 so awsome. To get to the point, they had the new solstice sitting there on a pedastole where everyone can take a look at it. Build quality looks EXCEPTIONAL! And for the price Fully LOADED under 30,000! Convertable! This is going to be one hot puppy!

They are just introducing this base model. I know i know... when i was looking at the stats for the powertrain i was like wtf? :poke: ECOTEC? BUt the rumors circulating indicate that there is going to be a turbocharged version. I was like SWEET JESUS! :notworthy

But we shall wait and see....

Lets Go GM!

Drove one on Saturday :-) It was friggin nice, 5 speed n . That lil ecotect in that car moves i was very impressed and got the tires to chirp in 1st 2nd and 3rd sadly I was downtown and didn't get to rip her for a long period of time. The car is gorgeous inside and out, a bit cramped but it is a roadster, I'd definitly recommend it over a gay ass miata.
