Reliability of 996 Carerra ??

hey all;

I'm considering buying a 911 Carerra, more specifically 2002-2003 Porsche 911 Carrera Rwd Coupe.
However, I'm just curious what the reliability is? I just turned 20 and i've owned all types of different cars (6 since i've been 18), and i've owned unreliable cars to reliable cars, and IMO the worst thing is buying a moneypit. From my research, this car looks pretty solid reliably but with super expensive parts. Also does high miles/km matter on these? Is it worth buying an extended warranty?
thanks so much for your help if you can help me out! and i'm not sure where the best Porsche board is, any recommendations? thanks again! =)

If I were you I wouldnt touch a Porsche yet for a simple reason. Maintainence. The upkeep alone of these cars is ridiculous, and there would be no possible way to drive this in the winter without fishtailing all over the place.
