I'm tired of being the slow one of the group...
soo me and my dad bought a 454 last week... its out of a 1974 hi pref. pass. car... its got 781 oval port heads... there supposed to be really good... me and my dad are going to pull it apart this week to see what it is like inside and all... prolly rebuild it and stick her in my lil camaro

TOM! why didn't you make the thread that we talked about where you were gonna take a pic of the rockers on it and say somethin like "I think i really messed up this time." lol. that would have been funny.

oh well.... i thinkit will be enough surprise when i get her all together... i want to put a stock muffler on it and have a cutout right before it.... soo everybody sees my car and be like

soo i took the motor apart today... it has screw in rocker studs, double valve springs, pushrod guide plates, new valves, new cam and lifter(even tho im goign to replace them), later this weekend im going to pull the pan and see what kinda of shape the rest of the motor is in... the pistons looked fairly new but i think i want to get some domed ones anyways for a better compression ratio... overall i was very impressed with what kinda of shape the motor was in....
