Aftermarket Tachometer

I got a aftermarket tach, and its used, but I dont know how to hook this one up..

Theres 4 wires,

red
Tan
green
black

now what gets hooked to what?

read the instructions.
one will be a switched power(like key/ignition on)
one will be a ground
one will be a tach lead, since you have normal small block chevy, that will run to the distributor,
the last one is probably for the light for the gauge(thats my guess) run that to something switched from the headlight switch like factory gauges. otherwise you can run it to any hot power and it will be lit all the time as long as the line is hot constantly or like i said key/ignition. idk tho that might not even be what its for.

u should look up the instruction online u can usually find instruction manuals for stuff online if u go to that companies site, and if u cant find that then u can always try to google it and see if a manual comes up

well Ive tried almost everything, and had a guy who knows his stuff at the track tell me how to do it, and it still didnt work, so... im getting a new one..

Thanks for the help anyway..

Thats a tutorial right? If it dont work get a new one!?!

That should work.Don't know what the problem could be.
