My wheel issue

Well you all knwo the first time i did these wheels i did them all black. They were ok back then but when Epic went threw her change I didnt want them all black - the silver lip was a better idea. And was working fine. Problem is that over time now the silver has gotten permently dirty and discolored from brake dust and the sun and look all crappy. Now i dont want to go back to all black and re-painting them with the silver lip is going to be a huge hassle. I had an idea....

This can be done very easily and inexpensively with red pin stripping. It'll last longer too (I've done the vinal pinstriping on wheels before). I think I'm like 95% sure i'm going to do it, just want some opinions (good or bad).

Eh, its okay. My only recommendation when doing it, is make sure to match the red from your calipers to your striping. Otherwise its going to stick out like a sore thumb.

It s different. I say go for it (no lettering). If you don't like it, you can always take it of and paint it(although that would suck to just paint the lip on there).

if you're planning on using vinal.. you might need to be redoing it in not too long.. stuff gets rough down there and the vinal will chip.. and depending on what type of vinal you use the sun can make it fade.

but hey.. i think it looks good

Yes Justin, it's vinal pin-striping I'm refering to. I've done accents in the same red vinal pin stripping to my old salad shooters years ago and you'd be suprised how well it turns out.

Besides, liek Danielle says, if it does end up being crap... peel off and re-paint.

I dont think it looks 'bad' I just dont care for it too much. Its like your trying too hard. I like it how it is, with the polished silver band. But I am also a little bias in my oppinion . If you do do it, it'll definately be different, and actually, what you can pick up to go with it...

Colored tires, so now when you do a burnout, your burnout will be red! and smell great! :banghead:
