Ok guys I've been planning on doing a heads/cam swap for awhile now but since I made a post on here I can no longer make up my mind (suprise, suprise, right? LOL)
Ok so I don't race the car and will end up taking it to the track maybe two times a year and that's it. My wife and I are in the proccess of getting her a new car as we speak. As soon as we do I'm going to take her car and no longer drive my Camaro that much.
Ok so I can do the heads/cam or I can go all out on a show car. The heads/cam will end up costing more money in the end.
If I do the show car route I'll buy some new wheels, right now I'm thinking 19" HP EVO's with the spokes powdercoated black. Then put on the Xenon front grill. I already have the SLP CME and on Monday I'm picking up some Wings West side skirts. Tint the window's, have all the stripes that are decals right now painted on instead and have the painter go through the entire car and fix all the different problems. Finall I'll rip out the stock carpet and put in some pitch black carpet.
The more I think of it the more I'm leaning on the whole car show idea. There's only so often I will really lay into the car but it will always look good.
Here's the wheels so you know what I'm talking about: (But mine will have the black spokes.) Just look at that rear lip!

While I'd like a good heads/cam setup myself, I really want my car to look the way I want it to before I start tearing apart the engine.
And those wheels w/ black spokes will look killer on your car.

damn im glad to see someone else who likes the evos. i'd like to see some hyperblack ones on a black LT1 TA to see if thats the route i truely wanna go.
as for your decision, go with show. on a street driven car H/C is kinda too much.

Like I said the more I think of it the more I'm leaning against the H/C. Doesn't mean I won't do it at a later time though because I'm sure I will since I plan on having the car forever.

if it were me id go with performance but since u already have an ls1 and a pretty fast car id go with the show car thing since ull probably get more out of it cause u said u dont really go to the track or anything so h/c would be just kinda wasted

Yeah, considering you won't race it much at all, I'd say go for looks, cuz you still have enough power to show someone up if you had to. Those rims would look sweet ... Hmm ... Looks ... and maybe couple more bolt ons.
